| Just downloading the demo for my PS3...
Everything I've heard about it sounds amazing. Anyone played it yet?

| A buddy of mine got the demo for his pre-order. He says the controls are good, challenging yet not impossible. | |

| Yeah, should be on Xbox Live now...
Just finished playing. Seems pretty good. Lots of controls to figure out but it's mildly intuitive. It felt a little bit disconnected when the big punches landed in my opinion, and the animations were slightly jerky. I think this is an early build.
The final game is going to be insane.

| I'm so anxious for the game to come out!
With me being a HUGE mma fan, from UFC to World Victory Road [Sengoku] I've been waiting on edge for this game, for what seems like, forever. And, now with it finally about to release, it just makes me wish I could spped up time lol
I here the 'Create-a-Character" part of the game is insane. You can bet that I'll be creating Kowashi & Canada [and most likey plenty others] to see how they stack up to actual UFC fighters.

| Man, I hear you. I've been wanting a MMA game ever since the awesome Pride game on PS2. The previous UFC games just didn't cut it, but this one looks fantastic. And I too will be playing around a fair bit with the Create A Fighter mode and career mode. A good next-gen MMA game has been long overdue, but hopefully this one will be worth the wait. | |

| the PRIDE game was awesome, on first impressions it is more arcadey than Undisputed, but it gives a better sense of 'contact'.
Looking forward to the Create-A-Character as well, though they don't have any long hair so no Guida!
Undisputed has awesome touches, you can see the physical damage and then the cornermen patch it up and so forth. It's very very slickly presented as well.
And it'll be waiting for me at home when I get back from California...

| I just messed with demo today.
I really like the striking controls. It's kind of like Fight Night.
Haven't gotten into the ground game stuff yet.
Definitely looking forward to the Create-A-Fighter and online play (alot of buddies are getting it).
If anyone else on here is getting it, we could do some league style fights.

| The ground game seems hard, I've not managed any sub attempt that hasn't led to a reversal yet, and only the one TKO victory.
I haven't worked out the over/under clinching yet, it just seems to get broken up after a few knees/punches but thats probably because I've forgotten everything the tutorial said.
Shoguns Muay-Thai plumb is the anti-Chuck.
There seem to be way to many flash KO's though, I've not had a fight get past the second round yet despite trying.

| The ground game is all kinds of tough.
Haven't yet got a sub, though I have moved up a level from Beginner and refined my striking from wild and crazy to leg kick 1-2.
Motherfucking flying knee and a jumping armbar attempt as well.
The demo is already my favourite game I own.

| This is going to be one incredibly awesome game. everyone I've talked to absolutely loves it, even those who aren't big MMA fans. And my reasoning for the sub difficulty is because we're talking about Shogun and The Iceman. Shogun's killer on the ground, and Chuck's killer in sub defense. To me both fighters are very accurately portrayed in the game.
I started off just winging it, but really didn't have a grasp for the controls. I tried reading them from the pause menu, but that only minimally helped. The tutorial is VERY good at familiarizing you with everything. I need to go over a few things again, but it immediately and drastically improved my gameplay.
Right now this is at the top of my "To Buy" list for games. Now all I gotta' figure out is whether to buy the new Bionic Commando or Red Faction along with it, since all three come out the same day.

| God, I went 6-0 no problem, but now I'm down 6-3. What do you guys think of the game and career mode? Any advice how to time blocks right, especially in the Muay Thai clinch? Neal | |

| There are a couple ways to escape the Thai clinch. one is to push in the opposite direction when they try to "whip" (move) you one way or another, or down to drive the knee into your head. The other is to push the move stick away constantly and hope your guy is strong enough to break away, and the third is to start throwing crazy amounts of fists to the head to hope to break the clinch.
I'm building Mercer into a monster on the game at 170 in career mode. I would love to see us maybe move "FIGHT!" over to UFC Undisputed and have the CPU simulate the fights instead of the sim that you're using there Jim.
Of course if that's the case though, you fuckers are all getting knocked out by Mercer. 5-0, 4KO's and 1 TKO currently, ranked in the top 15 in the MW division, about to have my first fight against a "name" fighter in Chris "Lights Out" Lytle and I can't be more excited to go into a fight where I KNOW I'm going to get my ass kicked. I've won fight of the night twice and KO of the night 4 times.
The Submissions are hard as hell to get to actually work. You have to level your fighting style up in order to really achieve anything with the submissions, and trust me, with the way this career mode looks, you have plenty of time to do so.
My current base styles are Kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu. Some of you might say "why not Thai?" I created another fighter and found out the hard way, no head kicks off the bat with Thai, but you get them fresh off the meat grinder with Kickboxing. And yes, they are the absolute BEST way in the game to land KO's.
Anyways guys, I'm needing to hit the hay, I'll be up in a few hours to play some more. If any of you are looking for me on Live, my gamertag is Knucklecracker.

| Mine is Blind Asylum, including the space. And yeah, my kickboxer got pretty much every KO win by head kick. No KO of the night awards for him though. However, my Muay Thai guy got two in a row via standup striking. I frigging love this game, but gotta' play it smarter. You can be aggressive at first, but then the fights get much tougher, and you gotta' pace yourself more. Plus I need to rework my attributes if possible, or start over. Evenly spreading the points everywhere seems to be a bad idea. | |

| My big problem is defending takedowns/submissions.
I pretty much kill everyone except top guys because they go to ground a lot more.

| Build up your takedown and sub defense. Also I use the brute force escape more to avoid the sub.
On a side note, this got a LOT easier again after I did some extensive strength training.

| Yeah I finally went into the tutorial part and learned that. I kept thinking you could only do that by rotating the right stick which never worked.
At this point it's one of two things. Remembering all the intricacies of the ground game and the fact that I suck at doing the run step. I push the left stick and push in a direction but it hardly ever runs. Meh.
That's only annoying because sometimes I've knocked a guy down and couldn't get in range to do the stand over ground and pound.

| For the life of me, I cannot get submissions, or prevent them. Stats are great for brutalizing guys and not giving them the chance to sub you, but when you get to a higher level, it's much more difficult. Mir was the only guy who subbed me in the game. And he did it 3 times. Button mashing and rotating the stick for both offensive and defensive sub stuff just don't seem to be enough. What am I missing? Now Stephenson just subbed my lightweight, and I'm frustrated like you wouldn't believe. It seems ridiculously hard to score sub finishes, and defend against them. | |

| The submissions game is tough as hell. I've never been submitted yet though - but I'm still playing on 'Beginner'. I find it incredibly hard to stop the CPU reversing my ground positions, I always end up on my back. Not sure if it was the stats my CaW had or what... | Made a rather awesome Fedor CAW and started on a Heavyweight career http://forums.ufc-caf.com/index.php?topic=992.0Has anyone exploited the CAW unlimited skill points yet? I have... HW career is definitely tough, the jump in skill level from the nobodies is quite high. I cruised through the no-names and then all of a sudden you come up against 15ish ranked Heath Herring and Mark Coleman who are just takedown machines. It took me about 3 decision losses to get my stats up high enough, but on the plus side my training partner didn't get upgraded and I spammed him for 100-odd points a few times. | |
